SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The individual in this position drives revenue generating sales to the end customer. This individual has primary responsibility for the customer relationships to understand and target customer product needs; develop and execute a sales strategy around those opportunities. Account Executives facilitate and manage every state of the sale cycle, educational support, customer service, and business analytics. This individual acts as the general manager for all customer needs and as such is responsible to administer both internal and external resources to support the selling process.
Independently manage all product sales and support to achieve defined sales goals as outlined in territory sales budget and quota.
Probe, develop and close all product sales inquiries within assigned geographic territory.
Facilitate sales process and sale to closure while providing broad product portfolio application consultation and clinical positioning to customers.
Follow up with customer after sale to ensure satisfactory In-servicing of products.
Responsible for total assigned Portfolio of Products and Services including Product Evaluation Management.
Maintain a broad knowledge of product applications.
Maintain and build customer relationships to understand, align, and support customer initiatives.
Manage customer contract development, T&C management, and closure.
Customize business plans for each customer to fully optimize and support each customer’s needs.
Develop and qualify all sales leads.
Utilize Specialist and Clinical resources in an efficient, cost effective manner to optimize sales process.
Educate customer on product benefits and applications and coordinate internally additional educational needs as necessary.
Inform SBM and local area team members of new account opportunities.
Provide and service the customer with product demonstration and clinical evaluations.
Provide direction and focus for the local area account team on all critical care products.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university (BPA above 3.0 preferred).
Minimum of 2-3 years of proven medical sales experience, or 3 – 5 years strong B2B sales experience, Demonstrated clinical training preferred.
Basic understanding of the following hospital departments: ED, OR, Anesthesia, Pulmonology, ICU, Risk Mgmt, Administration, Respiratory, BioMed, etc.
Demonstrated ability to effectively sell premium priced products/brands.
Understanding of Hospital critical and sub-acute care market.
Knowledge of competitive products and strategies.
Strong computer expertise and business application.
