This position is responsible for providing reporting and proactive analytical support for Sales and Marketing management related to Sales, Contract Performance and Pricing. The position interfaces with multiple internal departments to ensure analysis & reporting is efficient, accurate and timely. The Business Analyst must be able to multi-task in an environment where priorities change daily. The successful candidate will need to build strong working relationships, including with senior management. This person will also need to learn the business sufficiently to recommend new ways to evaluate business performance and will recommend process changes to optimize data collection and reporting methods. The Business Analyst must be a self-starter who can manage their own time and projects, and can negotiate and prioritize their workload directly with their customers. The Business Analyst requires strong attention to detail, advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills. Experience with Excel is required. Familiarity with Access or Cognos is preferred.
Produce recurring standard reports and analyses using Excel, Access, and/or Cognos, and PowerPoint.
Complete work in a self-sufficient manner. Work with and mentor junior analysts.
Audit existing reporting processes and recommend changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide ad-hoc business reporting for Sales & Marketing management. Provide knowledge of the business to assist senior management in decision making to optimize sales and contract performance.
Review and suggest changes to department ;policies and procedures as business conditions change
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all customers
Synthesize data and communicate results clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
